(More customer reviews)I upgraded to a pair of these from some cheapie Radio Shack unbalanced connector-type mics I was borrowing from a friend. When used at an annual live stage event, the improvement was marked and noticeable to several non-golden-eared onlookers who commented positively. The specs which state a high end response of 15K seem disappointing to me on paper, but the reality of how good these sound is convincing enough for me. I say that as someone who can pick out a lot of detail in sound.

Audix I-5 Instrument Microphone Review

(More customer reviews)This mic is your standard dynamic instrument mic. There is nothing revolutionary about it, but I can say that it sounded better than the old reliable SM57 on snare drum. It sounded pretty good on a guitar cabinet, also - a bit better than the SM57 in that application also. It's $10 more expensive than the SM and I would say it's worth the extra change.

(More customer reviews)This mic just blew me away. This mic poduces a clear and powerfull sound without much stress to the singer and any sound enhancement. An amateur sound engineer (louds of gear but lacks the knowledge) had problems with getting it right because he's used to cheap and old mics. He really could not handle this sound quality. Believe it or not you can screw up good sound easier than fixing a bad one. A studio engineer offered me money when he heard what this mic did. That and it's live performance is proof to me that this is an awsome mic.

(More customer reviews)I bought this microphone as a cheaper sibling to the OM5 that I already own. I must say the quality is a tad under the OM5 but will certainly excell any other microphone brand outhere in the same price range. It has a good feedback treshold, it picks up even the softest whispers and the response over the whole frequency range for vocals is outstanding. The build is solid and robust so it's beautifull black and will last as long as you can make sound go through it.
