(More customer reviews)This is a decent low budget option, but the sound quality is lacking and we have had some problems with interference.If quality sound and no issues is what you're looking for, you may want to keep looking.On the plus side, it was great having multiple mics once we got around the interference issues.

(More customer reviews)I'm an independent filmmaker and wanted to play around with wireless without spending a fortune. I have to say, I'm very impressed with the quality of sound from this little bugger. I can't say how it compares to the $500+ rigs because I won't pay that much if I don't have to. But this rig does the job. I hooked the receiver up to my camera's mic input port (using a mini-plug step-down adapter -- the cord uses the larger size) and it'll send a signal through a wall with no distortion. One thing: you have to plug in the receiver to an outlet, so if you want to do dolly shots or hand held camera moves, it could be a little tricky. But since it runs on DC, I'm looking into rigging it up to a battery pack so I can be more mobile. The microphone is super sensitive, and the little foam cap needs to be held on with a rubber band if you plan to hide it beneath an actor's clothing. Other than that, this is a solid unit at a great price. I'd definitely buy another product from Gemini.

(More customer reviews)I bought this microphone with only one use in mind.I am a retired attorney and do some writing.I recently bought a Dragon Naturually Spekaing program and was very pleased with its dictation capabilities.However, I was less than thrilled with having a microphone cable tie me to my computer.So I ordered this wireless microphone so that I could be free to move about the room as I dictate.I managed to set the microphone and receiver up without reading the instructions, although I don't recommend that.I have found that the wireless receiver's operation is superior to that of the headset that came with the program, and it has made using the dictation system much easier.There is no way that I could tell anyone whether this system will meet the needs of an audiophile, but it certainly meets my needs.

Although offered at a breakthrough new low price for a professional wireless, the DKW Series is loaded with features.Frequency Selection and Multiple System UseA word of caution! Quite often, wireless Mic Systems (and wireless guitar/bass systems) operate on the same frequencies as TV channels. In general, VHF systems work on TV channels 2 - 13, and UHF systems on TV channels 14 - 69. So, when ordering a wireless mic, make sure you check the channel against your location to ensure your wireless mic systems avoid interference with local TV channels.Wireless Mic Systems send out a radio signal which is picked up by the receiver. Each wireless system transmits this radio signal on a unique frequency or channel, and this is an important issue to consider when purchasing wireless systems. Using multiple wireless systems together requires that careful attention be paid to frequency or channel selection. Multiple people in the same band/group cannot use the same frequency/channel. As the number of wireless systems used in your performance increases, the transmitted signals interact with each other to create "intermodulation distortion" or intermod for short. If careful attention is not paid to channel selection, this intermod becomes a sort of interference which may cause wireless mic systems that work fine individually, to not work when used all at once. The key is to keep careful track of your operating frequencies to ensure they are all compatible.
